Registration of two peanut recombinant inbred lines (TifGP‐5 and TifGP‐6) resistant to late leaf spot disease

چکیده
Abstract Late leaf spot (LLS) disease is an omnipresent peanut ( Arachis hypogaea L.) foliar that causes significant yield loss. Integrating host resistance to reduce loss and management costs from this highly desirable. In addition resistance, market demand for high‐oleic on the rise due its improved oxidative stability health benefits. Previously, a recombinant inbred population Florida‐07 × GP‐NC WS 16 (crossing number C1801) segregating both LLS high oleic traits was used perform genetic mapping by quantitative trait loci (QTL)‐seq analysis. Three QTL regions chromosomes B03, A05, B05 were identified, Kompetitive allele‐specific polymerase chain reaction markers flanking these validated through field test genotypically selected sister lines. Two lines, TifGP‐5 (Reg. no. GP‐246, PI 700330) TifGP‐6 GP‐247, 700331), with top levels of LLS, release. Both lines possess alleles all markers. One line has acid content, other normal oleic. Releasing packaged molecular provides peanut‐breeding community resources can be utilized marker‐assisted breeding.

Phenotypic and genotypic variation among Capsicum annuum recombinant inbred lines resistant to bacterial spot.
A breeding program carried out under Brazilian growing conditions to obtain Capsicum annuum cultivars with disease resistance to bacterial spot (BS) produced 8 promising recombinant inbred lines (RILs). The present study aimed to characterize these RILs using phenotypic descriptors and molecular markers (inter-simple sequence repeat) and to confirm their resistance to BS. Twenty-two phenotypic ...

ABSTRACT Late leaf spot (LLS), caused by Phaeoisariopsis personata, is a foliar disease of groundnut or peanut (Arachis hypogaea) with high economic and global importance. Antifungal and chitinolytic Bacillus circulans GRS 243 and Serratia marcescens GPS 5, selected among a collection of 393 peanut-associated bacteria, were applied as a prophylactic foliar spray and tested for control of LLS.
